Snack Experiments/Tests

Postby Ghost » Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:40 pm

I'm a sucker and I'll try anything that's either new or different, no matter how gross. In the spirit of this, I'm going to hope that you guys feel the same way to some extent. If you've tried any new (or awful) candies, snacks, or soda's, please add your tests.

1/27/2008

Chocolate Skittles

Not too awful, basically like little Tootsie Rolls. I don't like Tootsie Rolls so your milage may vary. I thought they were gross. Same consistency as regular Skittles. Flavors were chocolate pudding, vanilla, smores, chocolate caramel and something else.

1/28/2008

Rap Snacks and Joker Energy Drink

My friend Tyler bought these at Big Lots today during my lunch break. There was a little danger added to the chips as they were best by January 10th. The flavor was, get this, Dirt McGirt's sour cream and onion. Dirt McGirt is AKA ODB AKA Big Baby Jesus and he's been dead for quite a while! Collectors snacks! Not really the worst chips ever, but the package was hilarious. It featured empowering slogans for rap fans like, "Pursue Your College Education!" They were just chips in target demographic packaging.

The energy drink was God fucking awful. I don't drink these things ever, so I don't know how they usually taste, but this one tastes like candy. I feel pretty sick. I think it also gave me a fever.

I've never even tasted an energy drink.

I think I had in the past, but it's nothing I ever want under any circumstances.

I saw yogurt-flavored Dots at the store today, but was too chicken to get them. Perhaps I'll pick them up the next time I go, if they're still there.

Snickers CHARGED!!!!! It has a rhino on the silver packet. Allegedly it has caffine, taurine, and vitamin B or something. It was just like a regular Snicks but I swear it had a terrible aftertaste. Sarah could not detect it.

No need to buy this thing as it doesn't taste at all like a rhinosauraus.

It was.

Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream Ice Cream

Delicious. Vanilla ice cream with chunks of fudge covered waffle cone and a caramel swirl. I'd prefer it was chocolate creams, but this isn't bad at all. It's no Coffee Heath Bar Crunch, but Ben and Jerry have done a fine job here.

deep fried cookie dough.

it doesn't really sound all that appealing to me, but there has to be a fats out there who would be all over this. i've seen many deep fried foods, but never this. it would be like a cross between a doughnut and a tortilla chip.

it would need to be flattened a bit, but you could use sugar, chocolate chip, or PB dough.

When I partook (partaked?(WHATEVER)) of the flesh, my Aunt and I used to dip sticks of pepperoni in Jiff. It was really good, actually.

Lays potato chip company just started selling "pepper relish" chips. fucking great. they taste sort of like "vegetable thins" crackers.

I keep up on all the newest snacks. The best thing on the market right now are Mr. Dragon's Fire Chips wasabi flavored Doritoes. So good!

Haha, the two are unrelated. My cocklust has nothing to do with not wanting snacks.

They soooo are related! Your lack of wanting snacks brings out your lust for cock!

AMAZING!

In the same trip I also bought, beef jerky chocolate, potato chip chocolate bar, sea salt and key lime, PB banana, and honey comb. also a different brand of bacon chocolate bar. I have not tried most of these yet.

honey comb, was fine
PB, banana was alright. I don't really care for that combo anyways.

When I gleefully visited the Lindt chocolate museum in Cologne last March, I had them make a custom bar for Laura (which she still hasn't eaten): ground coffee, chilies, and almond slivers.
