Pretty Hate Machine (US release with 'Made in Canada' stamp), The Day the World Went Away (Japanese release, missing OBI), With Teeth (European release, includes Home), With Teeth (Chinese release, counterfeit/bootleg), Beside You In Time (Blu-ray promo, extra for exo) and Survivalism (promo).

All of these were trades from other NIN fans. That Chinese bootleg has some interesting packaging. Basically, it's the regular old With Teeth digipak. The differences are the CD tray is in the middle third of the digipak, and it has a little pocket for a two page booklet with the tracklist. It also has a cardboard slipcase that the digipak slides into. It has a poster too, but it's of a band that has absolutely nothing to do with NIN.

I thought I said Fixed (French release), but I know about as much French as a blonde knows math, so I may have said, "Please touch me in the place you're not supposed to, Mister."

The same shitty songs that are on all of the other Fixed releases. Trust me. You're better off not knowing specifics.

The first time I heard Fixed I thought my CD was defective. Oh and you wrote something that translates more closely to "unblocking of French"

Zero-Ten-Gen (Japanese release). Basically, the bonus track didn't happen because Japan didn't have the facilities to create thermochrome CDs, so the CDs had to be imported from Europe, rather than manufactured in Japan, thus, no bonus track.

Also, since the CDs were just imported from Europe the Japanese release is essentially a EU release wrapped in Japanese goodness. They took an EU release (still in the shrinkwrap) slapped a Japanese lyrics booklet to the back, wrapped it with the custom obi that stretches all the way across the back of the digipak, sealed it in another layer of shrinkwrap and slapped the JP tour sticker on the bottom right hand corner.

I had an old shareware copy of Quake. Didn't find it when I went through the boxes, so I guess I don't have it anymore.

But now I do again.

Year Zero (Best Buy release), Year Zero (Hot Topic release), Quake and exclusive shirt.

The Best Buy release has a code to download an exclusive Best Buy interview with Trent about YZ. The Hot Topic release has an exlusive AIR flag patch. Hot Topic also has a special. If you buy YZ there you get any NIN shirt free. There were about three or four different ones, and all of them are sold exclusively at Hot Topic.

Found Quake in a used book/music/game store in Phoenix. In completely mint condition except for very minor shelf wear on the digipak. Still in better shape than any used, ten year old game should be. Got it for six bucks. A good deal since copies in decent shape have been selling for $25-30 on eBay.

Is Quake selling for that much due to the NIN link?

Yup. Everytime there's a new album the prices of NIN related stuff spike dramatically.

To the left is a French press sheet from 1991. I know someone else that has the sheet, but his is in English. He got his with the 12" UK Head Like A Hole Promo. There are no known French HLAH releases, so where this originated is anyone's guess. FYI, press sheets tend to be way harder to find than the items they accompanied.

To the right is another Best Buy release of Year Zero which was sent to me buy a fellow collector while I was away.

Year Zero (Misfolded European release).

This thing is even more fucked up than I thought. The front is misfolded with the landscape on the outside. Then they slapped the insert that's on the back of the US release on the front, sealed it up, flipped it over, and put the sticker that's supposed to be on the front on the back.

He should've drawn a pic of Trent to go with the stuff!

Still love the art on the DVD.

Peter Gabriel - Growing Up. This one is pretty hard to find, and not cheap when you do. I spent a long time looking for this one. It's a three track EU release. There is a two track version that lacks Trent's remix, and is available in abundance. I'd say the two track outnumbers the three track 100 to 1, so you get a lot of two track clutter when looking for the three track.

Here's one on GEMM. Axe me how much I paid for it.
