I need it next. I'm not sure if it'll be before or after Galaxy 2, though. Probably after.[/list]

You can apparently tie down (or save) a damsel on a train track. I want to play RDR the most out of any game currently available.

Next purchase will probably be Modnation Racers though.

So is RDR sort of like GTA in the Old West? I only know of it from a trailer before Ironic Man 2.

From what I've read, Old West GTA is accurate to a degree but that's all. It isn't like they reskinned GTA IV or anything. At least I hope not, GTA IV was Grodd awful.

GTA IV is awesome: graphics, sound, gameplay, controls are all perfect. the only weak point is the story and mission variety.

God of War 3 is a glorified slideshow by comparison.

Totally agree, and in that sense I believe Saints Row 2 was better than GTA IV.

Yea, the things you can do in RDR is nuts, and I've only done the MP!

It really is way too much fun riding around in your posse, running for your lives from wolves and bears, clearing out gang hide-outs, doing Mexican Standoffs, and running other players over with your horse.

I hate sandbox games usually, but this one is pretty damn fun. I'll update on the single player whenever I can.

God of War III - Played it to completion last night. Big fun, but dumb. I never once blocked, rarely dodged anything and killed everything by just batshit crazy balls to the wall button mashing.

The puzzles aren't puzzles and anything that isn't combat is tedious to the point of rage. Seriously. I died maybe five or six times fighting Zeus there at the end, but I died so many times on a single platforming sequence that the game asked me if I wanted to play it on easy. I was actually asked that numerous times during the course of the game and almost every time it was because I died over and over at a swinging part or some stupid shite.

ALSO, any time Kratos is falling or flying up the Chains of Olympus is fucking terrible. If you hit something there's so much blood and dust flying off of you that you can't see to maneuver the next gap and end up smashing into like six in a row.

All that said, the game is epic in scope. If anything actually deserves the term, God of War III does. Again, very fun when you're not swinging or flying, but no surprises.

I'd really love to play Red Dead Redemption, but it just freezes or decides to kick me out to the XMB while I'm playing. Fun. 10/10

Red Dead Redemption - I've only played an hour or so because I had to renig my setup due to my receiver overheating, but thus far it's obviously a Rockstar game. Tireless attention to detail and horrible fucking controls. I still can't figure out the horse. I knew I should I have gone with Mario Galaxy 2.

UPDATE: My fault on the controls but I still can't figure out the horse. The bitterness of having to doing all that rewiring had me mad at the game too.

RDR - All initial assessments incorrect. The game is distilled awesome. Last night I was riding back to town when I heard someone crying for help. When I got to them, it was a woman being chased by a group of cougars! They killed her and then my horse! I had to walk back to town after I shot them.

I also rode up on some bandits "robbing" someone, but it was all a trick and the victim was in on it. I gunned them all down in the slow motion Dead Eye mode (you mark as many enemies as you have bullets or a single guy like six or eight times) and then took careful aim with my rifle at the tricky snake limping away through the tall grass.
