Minivan

Postby dropshipbob » Thu Sep 13, 2012 12:50 pm

Well, it was bound to happen.

Our '96 Ford Taurus, completely paid off, bit the dust...something with the transmission. Everything was fine except it couldn't move forward. We were hoping it would last awhile so we could pay off our 2001 Hyundai Sonata and start putting the money that went to it's payments into savings.

Due to the Taurussss' condition, it wasn't worth a trade-in so I sold it to a salvage yard. Used that money and some in savings to get a minivan.

I usually hate minivans but this was a necessary evil, we couldn't shoe horn three kids and their stuff in two small cars forever. The buying process went pretty smoothly, the dealership was VERY interested in selling us a vehicle, I think it had something to do with end-of-month quotas.

It's a fine enough vehicle, plenty of room. The part I like the most is that there are compartments in the floor that are hidden under the mats, reminds me of the smuggling compartments on the Millenium Falcon.

Anyway, I guess our decent into modern suburbia is complete.

You'll only be a full-on suburbanite when you start mowing your lawn every other day.

Airbrush a wizard on the side. Or the rear hatch.

My sister recently picked herself up a town and country, it has the floor compartments too. Pretty nice ride, cept hers is all automatic and it pisses me off.

Anyhow, what kind of minivan did you get??

Do we need to make a poll about hotlinking?

Edit: wait, does anyone know how?
